The Ultimate Glossary Of Terms About Item Upgrade

Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, also known as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment gives a linear increase in any stat.

Players can recycle up to six items at once to gain an indicator of the level of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item varies according to its rarity and.

Upgrade components

An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can increase the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be done through many different methods such as using upgrade components and increasing an item's mark level or rarity. A lot of items can be reforged to boost their value.

Upgradable items can be found throughout the game, both around the world and as rewards for missions. They can also be made by players. Upgrade components are the most common way to upgrade equipment. These are the items that slot into equipment. Most equipment has slots to upgrade, and many require a specific level of upgrade. Some upgrade components give specific bonuses, while others offer an overall bonus.

There are a variety of upgrade elements available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. Universal upgrades, such as gems and enchantments, are able to be placed in any kind of equipment and offer fewer bonuses than those that are equipment-type specific. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools, and provide numerous bonuses, from increasing the speed at which an item gathers to providing extra crafting materials.

To upgrade an item, simply select it from your inventory and open the Upgrade window. This will display an overview on the right side of the screen showing the expected stats after the upgrade, along with any required components or materials. If you do not have enough of either the two, the Upgrade button will show as Blocked.

The upper-right corner displays the number of upgrade components required to create a particular item. The cost of upgrading increases with the level of the upgrade and its rarity, but can be reduced using many different methods, including purchasing upgrades from a vendor or trading them with other players.

Most weapons can be upgraded with an upgrade to a prefix like an insignia or a rune, and a lot of them can be upgraded using an upgrade suffix. These upgrades add an adjective to the name of the item like "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs are an effective instrument for communicating visual information. They are animated to grab the attention of the viewers and trigger interest in the brain. The animation of glyphs mimics the body language, making them more effective in transmitting the message of a language barrier. Glyphs also create a sense of familiarity in the brain, which increases retention of the message.

Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by specific amount. This is clearly displayed on the item, when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This is not the actual amount by which glyphs can improve the stat, but rather the maximum amount it can do so. The value of the glyph will depend on the tier as well as the quality of the product you are enchanting.

The majority of upgrade components that are added to items cannot be removed or replaced without removing them except for legendary upgrades and equipment. If you do have a rune or glyph that has not yet been incorporated into your equipment, you can transfer it to another piece of equipment by using the Upgrade Glyphs context menu on the Glyphs panel. This will create an Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

You can take out the glyph using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool.  Full Post  will be destroyed that it was installed in however, you can salvage the upgraded item using the glyph and its shards, therefore, it shouldn't be considered as a loss.

When you take away an item after adding a glyph, the shards of the glyph will vanish. You can also apply the glyph on your equipment to provide an extra benefit. Deferred Damage, for example can be used to store damage and then be dealt slowly to the wearer instead of all at once. This is beneficial for players who suffer many hits from enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to change the affixes on weapons and other equipment. They can be obtained from a variety of sources, such as mysterious boxes, rare drops from skulled monsters or by killing bosses. Every reroll grants the player an affix randomly chosen and typically better than what they had before. Reroll tokens are also a good option to reroll stats on weapons, which can be upgraded to increase damage or other perks.

Items that have been rerolled will not appear in the item upgrade menu, but they still qualify to receive upgrades. These rerolled items are able to be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button, which changes the appearance of the window and allows up to six items to be chosen to recycle. The level gauge is boosted by recycling an item. The amount is determined by the rarity of the item and its level, which means higher-level items are more useful to recycle than lower-level ones.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll Weapon Traits to upgrade units. Rerolls are based on a % chance of a weapon's traits. If it scores higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower the weapon is left as it was. Weapons can be repeatedly rolled up to three times.

Rerolling is an excellent way to upgrade an item. However, players must be aware that the total ilvl will be decreased by the number of that it took to reroll it to the final level. This effect is most noticeable on rings and Diadems, since they have no other options to increase the ilvl.

Some players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It's better to allow players to pay for it with money or food items that would allow players to make changes to their builds without having to spend too much time. However, paid rerolls are not something the developers want to implement at this point in the game's development. Instead, they're planning to add a race change potion in the near future.

Leveling

There are many ways to increase the level of an item upgrade. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade, which increases the value of upgrading a given stat. The second is to boost the effect of upgrading which increases the damage or heal of a given stat. In addition there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to a more powerful upgrade type. The upgraded item will keep its iLevel, but will be upgraded to reflect the effects of the upgraded item.

When you upgrade items, it is important to remember that upgrades are random. In most cases a better roll is based on the glyphs. However, there are  item upgrades  where a higher or more special roll can occur. The type of item will determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a unique or rare item to a specific kind of item, it's likely to receiving an upper level.

The cost of upgrading items can be expensive especially when you're upgrading a piece of equipment from a standard to legendary track. The price will be based on the item's base iLevel and the amount of upgrade levels it comes with. In addition, some upgrade tracks require crests in order to get to the next upgrade level.

If you're fortunate the upgraded item could reach the maximum level on its upgrade track and unlock an additional benefit. This will give you a substantial increase in the value of the item. The bonus effect changes with each upgrade level. In general, the upgrade effect is increased by a value of +3.

Depending on the item's level of base and upgrade path, the iLevel of the upgraded item will also change. For example, an item that is upgraded from a rare or unique item to an exceptional one will have the chance to gain the Enhanced Defense of the new base item.
